Results from the Multimodal Treatment Study of Children with ADHD provide conclusive data that medication alone is enough to control core ADHD symptoms, but only if dosing and response/behavior are monitored successfully. Monitoring is largely insufficient in community care settings. Complex behavioral treatment was beneficial to treatment of other aspects, such as aggressiveness and poor social skills.
