Dosing Errors and C&P in Hypertension

A recent longitudinal study has characterized the most common dosing errors for hypertensive patients. Researchers found three trends: patients were more likely to be adherent if they took their medication in the morning; weekend doses are the most frequently missed doses, and; the likelihood of premature discontinuation of treatment was related to number of consecutive doses missed. These trends indicate target arenas for successful interventions and patterns of those individuals that might benefit from further support.
