Picture-Perfect Treatment Adherence

A recent study was published by New York University School of Medicine assessing the adherence effects of a "plain language, pictogram-based" counseling program for care-givers and parents of children taking liquid medications. The trial was able to successfully reduce non-adherence to 9.8% in the participant population compared with 38% in the control group. In addition, there were significant gains in knowledge regarding proper dosing technique.
