Patients Trust Older Drugs, Distrust Branded Online Drug Info

Results from a DDB survey (n=1,831) across 11 countries show that, despite consumers recognizing that new drugs are better, 70% trust older drugs more and in the US 69% would rather take generics. Consumers are also wary of online information provided by branded companies, which came in dead last for trusted sources (7%). Authors advise pharma companies to heed these worrisome trends in order to better serve patients, and retain customers.
